Did you do this recently? The eyes are so expressive (and even). I also like the lips. After taking Katie Kendrick's classes, I feel much freer with drawing faces. I know that I am never going to draw realistic photographic paintings. So, I am going for more folk-art style where the eyes don't match and the face is not necessarily proportional. Your painting is much more expressive. Keep it up!
No, Sandy, this was done about 6 months ago, while I was in Florida enjoying the light and the hibiscus flowers. Watching Mystele gave me the courage to do this. Sherry, thank you, it was a wonderful morning, and the shadows are from the sun.
