Art Books Cleveland

There is an artist book circulating in the Cleveland Public Library System. These are journal pages. Various artist add their journal pages. Here are 3 of mine.

I Believed...

This journal page was done over 10 years ago in an Artist Journal Swap. I just found it again.

When I was a little girl, the only piece of chicken that I was given to eat was the wing. My mom told me if I ate the wing, when I got older I would surely fly. I used to practice all the time by putting a towel around my neck and running real, real, fast waiting for the wind to pick me up.

Somerset Studio 1997

This was a card I made and sent to Somerset Studio, they published it in Somerset Studio Nov/Dec 1997. The beautiful woman on the right hand side is mine. I screamed my head off when I got a copy of the magazine in the mail. After all of these years, I had almost forgotten it until I saw a beautiful work of art that Sherry Goodloe of Got Art, published on her blog. This is one of my favorite stamps. I own 2 of them, just in case.

Decollage

I took a Decollage class, which is the opposite of Collage, you tear away pages until you see an image that speaks to you. It's kind of like old billboards by the roadside, when the weather has torn away parts of an image. Interesting.

Flash Mob Event

August 6, is the 10th anniversary of the Altered Book Group on Yahoo. I have been a member for 9 years. One of the ways we are celebrating is by uploading 1,000 altered works of art by the end of the day on the 6th. This is my page.
